INFRASTRUCTURE: HARD AND SOFT

The Centre for Public Policy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore invites you to the 8th International Conference on Public Policy and Management. The special theme for the conference is INFRASTRUCTURE: Hard and Soft. The three-day international event aims to bring together scholars, practitioners and experts from different disciples to discuss diverse policy issues. The Conference committee invites papers analysing ‘Infrastructure’ from various perspectives as well as papers on public policy issues.

Creation of world-class infrastructure has been recognised as a key priority and a necessary condition for sustaining the growth momentum of the economy. Hard infrastructure refers to physical components that support our society such as transport, power, communication, land, port, bridges so forth. Soft infrastructure includes rules and regulations governing various systems, service delivery and institutions required for human development.
